Ger joined Nielen Schuman in 2012. Prior to that, Ger worked in the leveraged finance department of Friesland Bank for over 5 years.
While at Nielen Schuman, Ger has built an extensive track record in corporate and leveraged debt transactions for Dutch corporates as well as Dutch and international financial sponsors. Transactions range from raising leveraged acquisition finance and dividend recapitalisations, to refinancings in the form of club deals as well as underwrites. Ger has an extensive network in the banking and direct lender community, both in the Benelux as well as in London. Notable transactions include a dividend recapitalization of Chrysal International, financing of ICG’s acquisition of Loparex and the financing of Investcorp’s acquisition of SPGPrints.
Ger received a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Ger is an avid runner and enjoys winter sports such as snowboarding.
